Starland County Announces 2024 Operational Grants for Local Facilities

Starland County is excited to announce the availability of three distinct operational grants for 2024 aimed at supporting local facilities and organizations. These grants are designed to assist with the ongoing operational expenses of various community facilities, ensuring they continue to serve the public effectively.

  1. *Operational Grant for Facilities with Ice Plants:
    • This grant is targeted at arenas and curling rinks within Starland County. Eligible expenses include utility costs (power, gas, water, telephone) and maintenance costs associated with the start-up and shut-down of ice plants. Applications must include financial statements, a proposed budget, and a summary of expected operational expenses. The deadline for submissions is November 15, 2024.
  1. *Recreation Operational Grants:
    • These grants support operational expenses for existing recreation and cultural facilities. Eligible expenses are limited to utilities, and the grant does not cover capital projects such as major repairs or renovations. Applicants must provide financial statements, a proposed budget, and a summary of expected operational expenses. The submission deadline is November 15, 2024.
  1. *Operational Grants for Libraries:
    • This grant assists libraries within Starland County with operational expenses, including utilities, programming, supplies, overhead costs, and improvements. Applications must include financial statements, a proposed budget, and a summary of expected operational expenses, along with a cover letter outlining the intended use of the funds. The deadline for applications is November 15, 2024.
