2024 Property Tax Dates and Deadlines
June 27, 2024 – Tax & Assessment Notice Mailing Date (MGA s. 310(3))
July 5, 2024 – Notice of Assessment Date (MGA s.308(1))
September 3, 2024 – Assessment Complaint Due Date (MGA s.284(4))
September 27, 2024 – Deadline for paying 2024 taxes without an 8% penalty
September 30, 2024 – An 8% penalty will be applied to 2024 taxes remaining on the roll
February 28, 2025 – Deadline for paying all amounts remaining on the roll without a 10% penalty
March 1, 2025 - A 10% penalty will be applied to all amounts remaining on the roll
Tax Bylaw
As a requirement of the Municipal Government Act, Starland County Council is required to pass a taxation bylaw every year that sets out the annual taxation amounts on all property types in the county.
