Seasonal Class 1 Truck Driver

Seasonal | Full Time (40 - 45 hrs / week)

 

Starland County is seeking a hard-working and reliable individual to join our team as a Seasonal Class 1 Truck Driver for our Public Works Department from May to the end of October 2026. Typical hours of work are Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

The MINIMUM requirements for this position are:

  • Possess a Class 1 Drivers License
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, or work as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Variable work hours - required to work early mornings and overtime as requested

 

Employees are responsible for full cooperation with all aspects of the health and safety program, including compliance with all rules and regulations, and for continually practicing safety while performing their duties. Starland County has a Substance Abuse Prevention Policy in place as a reflection of our commitment to protect the health and safety of employees, co-workers, the general public and the environment. In accordance with this policy, pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required prior to commencing employment, as well a drivers abstract will need to be pulled.
