2025 Recreation Grants for Facilities with Ice Plants

The Council of Starland County is requesting proposals from organizations, individuals and local governments within the boundaries of Starland County, for the 2025 Operational Grant for Facilities with Ice Plants. This operational assistance is designated to assist organizations with the ongoing operational expenses for facilities with ice plants, such as arenas and curling rinks. Eligible expenses include utility costs (power, gas, water, telephone) as well as maintenance costs involved with start-up and shut-down of the ice plant for the arena or curling rink.

Applications must include the following:
1. The latest audited financial statement of the organization.
2. A proposed budget for the current year.
3. A summary of expected operational expenses related to operating the arena/curling rink.
4. The amount of the grant requested.
5. The Agricultural Societies Act Registration number and a copy of the Certificate (if applicable).

Please note that the operational expenses must be incurred in 2025.
There is a limited amount of funds available for operational assistance.
Requests for funding assistance must be sent to the following address and must be received prior to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025.
