Tax Assessments Sent To Ratepayers

Notice of Sending of Property Assessment & Tax Notices 2022

In accordance with Section 311(1) of the Municipal Government Act, notice is hereby given to the ratepayers of Starland County that the 2022 property assessment and tax notices for the County were mailed on June 22, 2022.  All assessed persons are deemed to have received their assessment notices as a result of this notice.

If any person thinks that any property has been wrongfully assessed, or assessed too high, or too low, or that their name or the name of any other person has been wrongly entered upon or omitted from the assessment roll of the municipality, they may at any time on or before August 29, 2022 notify the Chief Administrative Officer in writing of the particulars and grounds of their complaints.  Assessment appeal forms are available upon request from the County Office or on our website at www.starlandcounty.com.

Please keep in mind that all outstanding current taxes are subject to a penalty of 8% on October 3, 2022. The payment due date for the 2022 property taxes is September 29, 2022.

If you did not receive your assessment and taxation notice, if you have any questions on the notices received, or if you have recently purchased or sold land within the County and are unsure of tax payment responsibility, please contact the Administration Office.
