Seasonal Recreational Site Attendants

Full Time | Seasonal (40 hrs/week)

 

Starland County is seeking 2 site attendants for Starland County Campgrounds for the 2026 season. Employment will commence on or near May 1 and will go till the middle of October 2026 with weekend work required.

 

The job duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Inspection and confirmation of site reservations and fee collection
  • Inspect and clean each campsite once it is vacated and report any damages to the Community Services Director
  • Mowing grass, weed whipping, planting & maintaining trees
  • Regular maintenance and cleaning of the washroom/outhouse and public facilities
  • Water transfer from water truck fill stations to campground

You must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license, experience with trailers is an asset. Employees need to demonstrate a positive attitude, the ability to work in all types of weather conditions, and flexible hours when requested by your supervisor. The successful candidate will also be required to submit a clean criminal record check and must be bondable. 

 

Employees are responsible for full cooperation with all aspects of the health and safety program, including compliance with all rules and regulations, and for continually practicing safety while performing their duties. Starland County has a Substance Abuse Prevention Policy in place as a reflection of our commitment to protect the health and safety of employees, co-workers, the general public and the environment. In accordance with our Substance Abuse Prevention Policy, pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required prior to commencing employment as well as a drivers abstract to be pulled as well.
