
Important Notice: Canada Post Strike Contingency Plan
In the event of a Canada Post strike, residents are still responsible for paying property taxes and utility invoices. Property tax notices will be available for pickup at the Starland County Office. To receive your property tax notice via email, please contact Sharon or Kory at 403-772-3793 or by email at [email protected]. To receive your utility invoice via email, please contact Laura at the above phone number or by email at [email protected]. If there is a postal strike, property taxes will be available for pickup on or after June 26, 2025.
Starland County offers multiple payment options, including:
In person by way of cash, cheque, Interac or credit card. Please be advised that payments via credit cards are subject to additional service fees. Regular business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. The Starland County Office is located at 217 Railway Ave N, Morrin, AB
- After hours, in the drop box located outside the main doors of the Starland County Office
- E-transfer to [email protected]
- Online Payment Portal (Option Pay). This can be found on Starland County’s Website.
- Online or telephone banking with the following financial institutions: CIBC, ATB Financial, Bank of Nova Scotia, Bank of Montreal, or Credit Union. **When paying by way of online or telephone, please allow 3 to 5 days for your financial institution to process your payments adequately. Starland County has NO control over processing times.
- By providing our office with a post-dated cheque(s)

Regardless of any postal service disruptions, property taxes are still due on September 29, 2025, and utility invoices are due on the due dates listed on the invoice.
